STEAM SESSIONS
St Mary's NS are hosting a fantastic series of Family STEAM sessions. The first week focused on how steam engines work and they created their own solar powered fans. The project is supported by the LCETB through tutor James Ryan and Noelle Mann, the HSCL teacher in St Mary's NS.
INSPIRING OUR SIXTH CLASS
6th class in St Mary's National School worked with General Motors staff this week as part of the Junior Achievement Ireland programme. They learned about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics. They also explored some coding, and made their very own Catching game. The aim of the programme is to inspire and motivate young people to realise their potential by valuing education and understanding how to succeed in the world of work.
